“How do you get through each day at a high level?” 🤔

WHAT IS MEDITATION?

Meditation can be defined as a set of techniques that are intended to encourage a heightened state of awareness and focused attention. Meditation is also a consciousness-changing technique that has been shown to have a wide number of benefits on psychological well-being.

HOW TO PRACTICE MEDITATION: While there are many different forms of meditation and ways to practice, learning a basic meditation for beginners is a great place to begin:

1. Choose a quiet spot that is free of distractions. Turn off your phone, television, and other distractions. If you choose to play quiet music, select something calm and repetitive.

2. Set a time limit. If you are just getting started, you might want to stick to shorter sessions of about 5 to 10 minutes in length.

3. Pay attention to your body and get comfortable. You can sit cross-legged on the floor or in a chair as long as you feel that you can sit comfortably for several minutes at a time.

4. Focus on your breathing. Try taking deep breaths that expand your belly and then slowly exhale. Pay attention to how each breath feels.

5. Notice your thoughts. The purpose of meditation is not to clear your mind—your mind is inevitably going to wander. Instead, focus on gently bringing your attention back to your breath whenever you notice your thoughts drifting. Don't judge your thoughts or try to analyze them; simply direct your mind back to your deep breathing.

Don't expect meditation to solve all of your problems. Instead, treat it like a part of your self-care routine that plays a role in helping you feel better and less stressed. 💆🏻‍♂️

I don’t. 😌 Motivation is totally overrated and it’s like that “friend” who always flakes when you need him/her. 😒 I’ll leverage it as much as I can when it shows up, but I’ve learned to NEVER depend on it. Motivation may be what gets you started, but it’s habit and discipline that keeps you going.. 💯 So don’t wait around for motivation.. Instead, develop the small habits that’ll give you the ability to continue pushing in the right direction when motivation flakes on you again. 💪🏼

TO CLARIFY, NOT TERRIFY 😌

DATA IS MEANT TO CLARIFY, NOT TERRIFY. (Before you watch this short clip, read the caption below. It’s really important. 💯) “You can have data without information, but you cannot have information without data.” – Daniel Keys Moran I’ve had multiple conversations in just the last week alone about “rising rates” 📈 and the “housing crash” 🏚 so I thought I’d make this short video to bring some clarity on these two critical topics. Here’s a quick overview of the mortgage rates over the last 40 years.. 🤓 1980’s - The average fixed mortgage rate was 12.5%. 🤯 1990’s - The average fixed mortgage rate was 8.75%. 😫 2000’s - The average fixed mortgage rate was 6.85% until the crash in 2008 at which point the feds cut the rates down into the 5’s. 😣 2010’s - The average fixed mortgage rate was 4.25%. 😲 2021 - THE CURRENT NATIONAL AVERAGE FOR A FIXED MORTGAGE RATE IS 3.125% FOR TOP-TIER BORROWERS. 🤩 Get the point? 👍🏼 Rates have slightly ticked upwards in the recent weeks but you certainly haven’t “missed the boat” by any means. 🛳 They’re still at historic lows and will only continue to climb as the economy improves. 📈 So if you’ve been thinking about investing, be confident and take action. It’ll be worth it. I promise. ✊🏼 As a seller, these steadily climbing rates can and will negatively affect the value of your home because the buyer demand weakens with rising rates. 📉 When I say “the time is now”, I’ve never meant it more and these are truly historic times. There has never been a greater disparity between the housing supply and buyer demand than now. 📊 Oh, and this whole “housing crash”? There’s data for that too.
